A Noakhali Court on Tuesday sentenced seven people to death for killing a woman in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali in 2020.

Nilufer Sultana, additional district and session judge of Noakhali, delivered the verdict on Tuesday afternoon in presence of the accused.

The convicts are- Humayun Kabir (29), son of the deceased, Nirab (26), Noor Islam (32), Kalam (30), Sumon (33), Hamid (28) and Ismail (30).

The court also fined them TK 5,000 each.

Law enforcers recovered a body of Nur Jahan Begum, chopped into four pieces, from a paddy field in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali on October 7, 2020.
